Pond Skimming Tips:
Speed is your friend.
Don’t lean back; keep your weight centered and tips up.
Bend your knees and keep your hands forward.
Bring an extra pair of boots for the day.
Wider skis (most skimmers say) help with float.

Saturday and Sunday, March 15th & 16th
Clinic Times: 10:00 am - 1:00 am
Explore the free heel world with our certified telemark instructors and broaden your horizons during our Telebration event on March 15th & 16th.
Group Lessons tailored to the goals and desires of the group are available on the 16th at 10 am and 1 pm. Private lessons are also available all weekend.
Don't let a lack of gear stop you! We have a telemark rental fleet at 49° North and 22 Designs will be present with their whole fleet of bindings, SCARPA NTN boots, Voilé & MOMENT skis, and more. Get your turns in and then join the aprés with your fellow Tele fans to view Tele Colo's "This Ol' Mill" film at 4 pm on the 15th and win free schwag!
Whether you've never tried tele or are a seasoned knee dropper, this is a perfect opportunity to get out, improve your skills, and try new gear!

Join us for a Race and Demo day at the Nordic Center in partnership with North Division Cycle.
7 km race on a lower trail system with single track downhill sections, conditions permitting.

What is Toyota Ski Free Day?
The DRIVER of any TOYOTA who comes to the designated Ski the NW Rockies ski area on the designated day will receive a FREE lift ticket VALID FOR THAT DAY ONLY. No vouchers or passes are required. Just drive your Toyota to the mountain on that day.
Toyota representatives will be in the parking lot at each resort for each event under a Toyota tent. As a customer arrives in their Toyota they receive a free lift ticket for that day. It’s that simple.
If multiple people show up in a Toyota and they all show proof of ownership, ONLY THE DRIVER OF THE TOYOTA THAT IS THERE WILL RECEIVE THE FREE LIFT TICKET.

Be prepared to be directed into parking lot #4 (directly across from the Nordic Center) to pick up your swag and ticket, there is no reservation needed; other than to show up in your Toyota!
Homeschool Program (Ages 5-17)
We offer 5-week programs on Mondays for Homeschool Students ages 5-17. Classes focus on getting your child outside and exploring more of the mountain! Students are sorted by ability level.

Women's Clinic (Ages 15+)
10 am-12 pm
Our Women's Clinic Series provides a safe and supportive environment for all ability levels of skiers and snowboarders to develop new skills. We offer monthly clinics throughout the season to help you continue your progress or to help you break past that plateau. Whether you are looking to conquer new terrain or you've been stuck in a rut, we have the coaches to help you achieve your goals! Our focus for each clinic will be based on the day's conditions and the participant's goals. Please let us know when you register if you have any specific educational goals. A lift ticket or pass is required to participate in the lesson.
2-Hour Group Lesson Price: $69

Join us on Saturday, February 15th at 5pm for an elegant evening of fine food and a one-of-a-kind experience celebrating the Snow Moon.
The evening will feature a carefully cultivated 5-course meal paired with wine (red or white) or champagne specifically chosen to pair with your meal. Experience wonderful flavors and get involved in the experience, while enjoying the gorgeous mountain views under the Snow Moon. This dinner experience is best to share with a special someone.
PLEASE bring a jacket or dress warm for an experience outside near the deck, there will be lights, goodies, and a rare spectacle waiting for you! Dinner will be served inside
Opening Course: Charcuterie appetizers along with dinner rolls and butter
Second Course: Beet & goat cheese salad served over spring greens finished with candied walnuts and champagne vinaigrette

Ages 13+ Develop and refine your Skate and/or Classic ski techniques with Tim Ray. Tim is a fun and fantastic clinician and P.S.I.A. Examiner with 50 years of experience. Join for the full day or choose a half day of your preferred discipline.

1 day | Ages 15+ Tour the trails of 49 Degrees North! Your guide will give tips for better control and more fun on snowshoes in this non-competitive atmosphere. 'The Drop-In' Rail Jam Event

As part of the Chewelah Winterfest festivities, 49° North Mountain Resort will host a RAIL JAM in the streets of Chewelah!
Competition Classes: Men's Ski, Women's Ski, Men's Snowboard, and Women's Snowboard.

1 day | Ages 13+ Learn to cross-country ski and tour 49 Degrees North Nordic Area trails! You will be taught the basics of cross-country skiing by 49 Degrees North certified P.S.I. Ski instructors. Instruction includes the basics of equipment, and techniques on how to glide on your skis, travel uphill, and stop going downhill. After a fun lesson, we will hit the trails to tour the area trying out our new skills. Beautiful scenery and exercise are what cross-skiing is all about! Includes: skiing equipment, trail pass, and instruction. Bring lunch and plenty of water. 10 am-2 pm $75

Skijoring: 11 Start until the last horse
Music: 11am-3pm
This event will be hosted at 49 Degrees North where teams of riders, horses, and skiers/ snowboarders will compete for the fastest time in a complete course!
Skijoring will begin at 11 am and run until the last rider is finished.
